A building's exterior is its first impression and its first line of defence. We decorate façades, windows, doors and railings across prime London — work that must look immaculate while genuinely protecting the fabric beneath, and that is specified accordingly.
What the work covers
Front and rear elevations, stucco and rendered façades, masonry, sash and casement windows, front doors, railings and ironwork. On larger or terraced properties we manage access, scaffold and protection, and coordinate the work as a single coherent programme.
The right system for the substrate
Exterior decoration lives or dies by specification. Period stucco and lime render must breathe — modern acrylic coatings can trap moisture behind historic masonry and accelerate decay. Where the substrate requires it we specify breathable mineral and lime-based systems and traditional finishes, chosen for performance and longevity, not just appearance.
Preparation & protection
Exteriors demand thorough preparation: cutting out and repairing failed areas, treating bare timber and metal correctly, and priming appropriately before finishing. Done properly, the result protects the building for years; done quickly, it blisters and fails within seasons.
Conservation-aware
Much of prime London sits within conservation areas, and many façades are listed. We work with awareness of planning controls and conservation requirements, keeping colour and finish faithful to the established character of the street and correct in process as well as appearance.

When is the right season to paint a London façade?
Settled, dry weather with mild temperatures — exterior systems need proper curing conditions, so programmes are planned around the season rather than squeezed into it.
Our stucco is flaking — do you repair before painting?
Always. Failing render is cut out and made good with compatible mortars before anything is painted; sealing problems under fresh paint only accelerates them.
Do you use breathable systems on period render?
Yes — vapour-permeable mineral and lime-compatible coatings where historic stucco and lime demand them. The wrong modern film traps moisture and blows the render beneath.
Is exterior work guaranteed?
Yes — our workmanship is guaranteed for twelve months, and every façade is priced as a fixed written specification after survey, never a vague estimate.
